POLICE have confirmed that safeguarding measures have been put in place for a teenage girl who may be a victim of human trafficking.
Officers were called to the beach near East Dorset Sailing Club, Sandbanks, Poole, last week.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "It was reported that the girl, believed to be a Chinese national, may have been the subject of exploitation and human trafficking.
"Officers attended and safeguarding measures were put in place for the girl.
"Enquiries are ongoing, but at this time there is no information to indicate any offences have been committed.
"No arrests have been made."
Police attended the scene shortly after receiving the concern for welfare report at 7.40am, Wednesday, August 11.
