A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Firefighters found a fire on the ground floor of an outbuilding adjoined to a main building used for tumble dryers and storage.
“The fire was extinguished by six breathing apparatus wearers using hose reel jets. The stop came at 6.15pm.”
Last night, Poole Police asked people to avoid the area until 7.30pm.
A fire investigation was carried out and it was concluded that the cause of the fire was accidental and caused by overheated items inside the machine.
