DORSET’S largest Covid vaccination centre has “got through” its Pfizer vaccine supplies and will not be able to offer walk-ins until tomorrow (Tuesday, August 24).
The vaccination site at the BIC has been offering walk-in vaccinations and said it is the only place in Dorset doing so.
A spokesperson said: “We’ve had a fantastic response to our offer of walk-ins at the large vaccination centre in Bournemouth, with many newly-eligible 16- and 17-year-olds taking advantage of the offer.
“We believe the centre is the only place in the Dorset area currently offering daily walk-ins and the service has been very popular.
“As a result, we have got through our Pfizer vaccine supplies more quickly than expected and will not be able to offer walk-ins until later tomorrow, once we receive a further supply. Please bear with us – we will let everyone know when we can offer walk-ins again.”
