A BUSINESS which has grown from six employees to more than 100 in the space of eight years is expanding again.
Green Space UK installs insulated roof panels in conservatories to make them warmer in the winter, cooler in the winter and quieter in the rain.
It has taken extra space at Crow Arch Industrial Estate, Ringwood, to accommodate an expanding team and free up storage space for the roof panels. The new warehouse is the company’s third on the estate.
The company is also opening a new facility in Rugby, Warwickshire.
It has continued growing during the pandemic, with installers hired across the country and eight new recruits joining the office-based support team.
The business was started in Poole in 2013 by husband and wife team Brennan Jacomb and Bea San-Jose and now has more than 100 staff. Along with the founders, quotation scheduler Alan Walton and quotation surveyor Gareth Pitman have been with the firm since day one.
Its work fitting solid insulated roofs has been made simpler by the relaxation of planning laws, meaning the work is often possible without planning permission.
Brennan Jacomb said: “We are excited about taking this extra space as things were getting more than a little cramped for our growing team in the existing units.
“We have grown sustainably and consistently as a business since we launched but in the last two years we have really begun to pick up the pace, hence our new warehouse here and the new facility up in Rugby which will help us cover more of the country.”
Adele Marsh, Green Space UK’s operations director, said: “The addition of two new warehouses will help us to streamline our processes and offer a much more efficient service to our customers across the south of the UK and in the Midlands.
“Not only are we saving money as a business – savings that can then be passed on to our customers to encourage even better prices – but we are also very understanding that a lot of fuel is consumed sending installers to the Midlands from Ringwood every day. The new warehouse will help us to reduce our carbon footprint as a committed green company.”
