SOUTH Western Railway has extended its concierge service to Bournemouth to support customers as they return to the railway, following a successful trial.
Initially launched in April at several stations across the network, SWR Welcome Hosts has now been rolled out at Bournemouth railway station in order to provide customers with a new way to ask about any travel enquiries or advice.
SWR Welcome Hosts have a designated area near the entrance of Bournemouth railway station and will be on hand throughout the day to answer customer questions.
Helping to reduce queues at both the gateline and ticket offices through the summer period as workers return to the office, SWR’s Welcome Hosts will be present at key stations from Monday to Saturday.
James Dolling, customer experience head at SWR, said: “With more people both taking domestic holidays and returning to the office, we want to ensure that all of our customers can travel with confidence across the network.
“Our Welcome Hosts are a great addition to the service that we provide, and they look forward to welcoming customers back to the railway.”
