MY wife and I are regular visitors to both Bournemouth and Southsea. We love to walk on the promenade in both as well as use the beaches and occasionally swim.
However, there is a considerable difference in the public toilet facilities in these two seaside towns. In particular those at the top of the East Over Cliff zig zag where we park, are an absolute disgrace, with dirty floors, pungent smells, broken locks, lack of toilet paper. Generally, they not fit for purpose, and in our view, in such an appalling state as to need complete refurbishment.
In contrast, those in Southsea are a pleasure to use being kept constantly clean and hygienic.
Do Bournemouth councillors ever visit these facilities? If so, surely they must be ashamed of what they are providing for visitors. If not, then may we respectfully suggest that they do so and then take action to improve matters.
