CHRISTCHURCH Round Table has raised over £6,000 from hosting a charity beer stand at Christchurch Food Festival.
Thousands flocked to the popular festival last weekend after a one year absence and many visitors enjoyed the Round Table's stand, with all stock being sold in just two days.
The addition of Prosecco to the stand proved to be very popular and helped the raising of funds.
Chairman of the Christchurch Round Table, Karim Bosun said: "This has been our best food festival ever.
"Christchurch Quay was a great new venue and we had people queuing all day long. We sold over 20 kegs of beer, and have raised in excess of £6,000 for local Christchurch charities.
"I would like to congratulate the new owners of the Christchurch Food Festival for a wonderful event and hopefully we will be back next year to raise even more."
Local charities the Round Table has recently donated to include the Christchurch Community Partnership and Somerford ARC, as well as school book schemes.
