DELIVEROO is celebrating its sixth birthday in Bournemouth and to mark the occasion they've given us an insight into the town's takeaway habits. 

The most popular time to get a takeaway in Bournemouth is 8.15pm according to new data provided by the fast-food delivery company.

Further data has shown residents love American food the most, followed by British, with Five Guys' bacon cheeseburger taking the top spot at the town's favourite order.

Since its launch in the town six years ago, more than 540 restaurants have signed up to the platform. Deliveroo has created work for more than 1,040 people, with the majority of these being the Deliveroo riders who deliver your food which is cooked fresh to order and delivered to your door within 30 minutes.

Deliveroo aims to support local businesses in the town, with 60 per cent percent of its restaurant partners being local independent restaurants, creating new revenue streams for homegrown culinary talent. 

Harison Foster, regional director for the UK said: "Our whole team here at Deliveroo are delighted that our rapid growth in Bournemouth  over the past six years means that customers have more choice, restaurants are able to increase their revenue, and riders have the opportunity to choose well-paid, flexible work."
