A MAN had to be rescued from a seafront cliff by emergency services.
Coastguard teams from Southbourne and Lymington were called to the scene near Milford-on-Sea shortly before 7.30pm on Sunday, September 5.
Two lighting rigs were set up to as the sunlight was fading while the 69-year-old man was still stuck.
A spokesperson for Southbourne Coastguard said: "Lymington Coastguard deployed a rope technician with a stretcher and we also deployed a rope technician to enable the casualty to be secured in the stretcher for recovery to the top of the cliff.
"Once at the top of the cliff the casualty was passed to south central ambulance service for onward care.
"Teams then re-stowed their equipment, stood down and returned to station."
