Jordan Bishop, 26 and of Wimborne Road, Bournemouth, assaulted a man by beating him at The Brasshouse, now known as The Brass Haus, in Westover Road on May 22.
Bishop pleaded guilty to the single charge when he appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on August 27.
The defendant was handed a 12-month community order, with a requirement to complete up to 20 rehabilitation activity days and carry out 90 hours of unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 prosecution costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
