A YOUNG Freddie Mercury fan from Wimborne has become an overnight sensation after wowing crowds as he performed alongside a Queen tribute act last week.
Six-year-old Teddy Howard, who attends Ruscombe First school in Corfe Mullen, is obsessed with Queen and their iconic frontman.
As a special treat, his parents surprised him with a trip to see The Freddie and Queens Experience, who performed at the Royal British Legion in Corfe Mullen on Friday August 27.

Teddy’s mother Hannah Smith said: “He has been into Queens since he was about three. My dad is a big fan and Ted has almost taken that on as well.
"We didn’t buy the outfit for the occasion, he already had it. He wears it all the time.
"So, we told him to get dressed up in it and we surprised him by taking him along to Corfe Mullen to see three Queen tribute band."
Having danced at the front of the stage in his full Freddie Mercury attire, Teddy was invited up on stage by the band and sang ‘Radio Ga Ga in front of the crowd at the community centre.
A keen footballer, Teddy suffered from bullying at school from some of his peers as he used to do tap dancing.
However, his mother hopes his experience in the spotlight will help him to pursue ahis dreams as a performer.
“He was absolutely in his element,” Hannah added.
“It was nice that the band recognised that he was just loving life and invited him up on stage.”
“He used to do tap dancing and modern when he was younger, but he packed that in a couple of years ago as a few kids at his school were making fun at him for it.
“It would just be nice to show people in his year and for them to see that you can be cool and be on stage.”
After his performance, many people approached Teddy and his mother about his guest appearance with the band and photos and videos began circulating on social media of the six-year-old Freddie look-alike.
The Freddie and Queens Experience singer Ian Adams, who brings Freddie Mercury to life, said: “He was just enthusiastic, and he was dancing away at the front of the stage, so we thought he had to come up with us and he deserved a round of applause.
“He had clearly gone to such extremes with his outfit, and he was loving every song we played. At a lot of the venues, we got to, obviously a lot of people put moustaches on but not many as young as Ted was.
“It was a very spontaneous thing for us to do but it was a lovely part of the evening. He was very excited to be up on stage and it helped make the show.
“His mother got in touch with us after the show to say that we had made his year and that he was so thrilled about the whole evening.”
