A WHEEL the perfect diameter of a culvert was found to be the cause of historic flooding issues near Three Legged Cross.
Dorset Council’s highways drainage crews were investigating the issues between Wigbeth and Three Legged Cross.
A spokesperson said: “Our Dorset Highways drainage crews have been investigating historic flooding issues on the C2 between Wigbeth and Three Legged Cross, with our mobile jetter, gully tanker and big jetter each having a go to clear the blockage without success.
“Wondering what was going on, our contractor Future Industrial was called in with their robotic camera, and this is what we found.
“A wheel the perfect diameter to get stuck in the culvert. It was acting like a valve - we could jet past it, but when it rained it blocked the pipe.
“Mystery solved and blockage removed.”
