A KEY road in Bournemouth is set to shut for two weeks from Monday, September 13 due to repairs being made to a collapsed sewer.
Part of Poole Road, in Westbourne, will be shut by Wessex Water while work is carried out near the entrance to Cedar Manor.
A diversion will be in place via Clarendon Road to West Cliff Road and onto Grosvenor Road.
A Wessex Water spokesperson said: “We’re sorry for any delays caused by the road closure, which is needed to allow us to repair the sewer quickly and safely. We expect to finish work by Sunday 26 September.”
Access will be maintained for emergency services and residents.
Wessex Water confirmed that there will be no interruption to customers’ water or sewerage services in the area.
The closure will be in place between the Premier Inn in Westbourne and just before the West Cliff Baptist Church.
