A BOURNEMOUTH road will close for three weeks to allow for highway improvement works.
BCP Council confirmed in a public notice that Glenferness Avenue will close on September 27 and last until October 17.
The notice said: “Road closed to all vehicles and no parking, no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time.
“Glenferness Avenue from its junction with Elgin Road to its junction with East Avenue.
“Highways improvement works by BCP Council.
“Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site security.”
The notice said a diversion will be in place northbound via Rothesay Road and East Avenue and southbound via East Avenue and Elgin Road.
The notice added: “These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations.
“Restrictions may be in effect under this order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the secretary of state.”
