COASTGUARD and lifeboat teams were called to help transfer transfer a diver to the decompression chamber.
Southbourne Coastguard was called to help Poole Coastguard Rescue Team in securing a helicopter landing site at Whitecliff.
A spokesperson said: “Tasked at 6.58pm hours by the joint rescue coordination centre to assist Poole Coastguard Rescue Team in securing a helicopter landing site at Whitecliff for Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 187 who was inbound with a casualty to Poole for onward transportation to the decompression chamber.
“Once the area was secure the helicopter landed, and the casualty was transferred to a waiting South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust ambulance.
“Once the casualty was safely in the hands of the paramedics and dive doctor, we secured the area again for the helicopter to take off and return back to South Wales, at which point teams stood down and returned to station.”
