POLICE have issued a warning after spotting a car parked in a ‘keep clear’ zone preventing a fire engine’s access.
North Dorset Police were working with Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service assessing housing estates for access in Gillingham.
A spokesperson said: “On the whole parking was not too bad and the fire engine made it through.
“However, there was one place where the engine could not get through due to vehicles parked within the ‘keep clear’ markings preventing access for the emergency services.
“Lucky tonight was just a practice however if this was a real emergency this delay could have cost lives. Please consider where you park.”
