Burley Golf Club raised around £4,000 as they hosted a charity day in aid of the Minstead Trust.
Hosted by captains and vice captains, the theme was fun and a mixed scramble format was used.
A total of 75 members played. Club captain Clive Kibblewhite said: “It is lovely that a club like ours can organise events like these where a local charity benefits.
"We all know the worthwhile work that the Minstead Trust does. I am pleased to announce that our event raised nearly £ 4,000 in total through auctions, raffles and donations from members and local businesses.
"I am proud to be captain of a club where one in four members turn up and play in support of the Minstead Trust.”
Lady Captains Day was held where the dress theme was the Wonderful World of Disney. Ladies captain Jo Clarke said: “It really was wonderful that 44 ladies played and entered fully into the spirit of the Disney theme although I'm not sure what ponies, passing motorists and cyclists thought of seeing Pinocchio, Princess Jasmine and Cruella Deville playing golf!
"Lunch and a Tom Jones tribute act followed our golf.”
