A CCTV image has been release by police hunting for a man in connection with a £500 cash raid on a Purbeck store.
A man in a hooded top wearing a scarf pulled up to his nose snatched a handful of cash from the till of Lookout Stores, Corfe Road, Stobrough on Sunday December 16, at about 7.45pm.
He was in his 20s, with a distinctive protruding, long nose, wearing a black hip-length jacket and a navy jumper.
Police Constable Steve Newton, of Wareham police, said: "The man took a pint of milk up to the counter and paid for it but, as the till was opened to get his change, he leant across and grabbed around £500 in notes and coins.
"I'm now able to release a CCTV image from the store and I'm keen to hear from anyone who recognises the man in this picture.
"I'm also still keen to hear from anyone who saw a dark coloured saloon car parked on a grass verge 20 yards down from the shop with its hazard lights on. It was parked in a very unusual place and I'm interested to rule it in or out of my investigation."
Nobody was injured during the theft but staff were left shaken.
