ALTHOUGH Jon Sharkey and Karen aus der Fuenten won the individual titles in the 2007 Dorset Road-Race League, neither could prevent a clean sweep by Poole Runners in the team awards.
Bournemouth AC club captain Sharkey did not win a League race all season, but was still consistent enough to collect the men's award ahead of Mark Pittaway (Portland) and Dave Caddy (Egdon Heath).
In contrast, Littledown Harrier aus der Fuenten, unbeaten in nine League events, dominated the women's league, with veteran Poole Runner Daveena Tweed second and Portland's Jenny Moloney third.
Poole Runners achieved the lion's share of the age group prizes with James Baulch, Alan Lewis, Geoff Scott, Rex Legge and Hannah Towner also among the awards.
The Bournemouth Joggers pair of Carole Loader and Caroline Horder added age group titles to their club's award as third women's team. Louisa O'Bryan was Poole AC's only age group winner, while their men finished third in the team standings.
Remarkable Littledown Harrier Dave Barwick completed every League race for the 14th successive season.
