LIFEBOAT volunteers completed 406 lengths of the RNLI sea survival pool, walked 204 miles and cycled 428 miles over a 24-hour period to raise funds to carry on saving lives at sea.
Poole RNLI Lifeboat Station volunteers took on the mammoth challenge between 6pm on Friday, September 24 and 6pm on Saturday, September 25.
A spokesperson said: “A huge thank you to those that have shared and interacted with our social posts - we hope you’ve enjoyed them, The Fisherman Cafe for supplying breakfast, Custom House Cafe Poole for their fundraising efforts, those that have dropped pennies and pounds in our fundraisers buckets and those who visited our stalls. You’ve all helped make a difference in saving lives at sea.
“Amazing RNLI #OneCrew effort from our station volunteers and also our fundraisers who have also been along the quay all day.
“Our Facebook fundraiser is at £824 and is still open, we’d love to be able to hit our target of £1000.”
