FANCY driving a car once owned by Premiership football star Wayne Rooney?
Then this ultra-special 2006 Mini Cooper GP is for you.
Originally owned by the Manchester United and England player, the rare edition Mini is being sold by Bournemouth Mini specialist John Symes with a price tag of £19,975.
This model was one of only 20,000 ever made and one of 445 imported to the UK.
It is fitted with a supercharged 1.6-litre engine and has had a John Cooper Works engine upgrade to 215bhp. It's made special by BMW removing the rear seats to make it lighter and fitting unique alloy wheels.
The lightning-quick hatchback can reach 62mph in less than 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of around 146mph.
It also benefits from the Chilli Pack, which includes xenon headlights and air-conditioning.
It is believed Rooney owned the metallic thunder blue Mini for about six months before passing it onto the second owner.
John said he bought the 2006 56 registered car from its second owner in Manchester at the end of last year having been told it was originally owned by Rooney.
He said: "I bought it and thought that would be a lot of fun and brought it down south. His name and his agent's address are in the registration document."
The Mini GP has sparked a lot of interest locally.
John said: "We have had quite a lot of interest. We have had a few people taking it out on test drives and some people who just wanted to say they had driven it."
With Rooney rumoured to be earning £185,000 a week, it would have taken him less than a day to make enough money to pay for the £22,000 Mini GP.
