A POPULAR pub in Poole is reopening with a new name and fresh look following recent refurbishment.
The Avocet in Parkstone, previously The Cow, is reopening following its facelift and is now described as the ‘perfect spot for a cosy roast dinner’.
The Victorian pub has a new seasonal menu, which combined with the refurbishment, has transformed The Avocet.
As well as a new food and drink menu, the pub has also upgraded its sports offering for guests, screening several Sky Sports channels throughout the week.
Customers will notice a striking re-style throughout as the pub benefits from a new colour scheme, new bar area and furniture layout.
The Avocet’s interior has also been redesigned, with a mix of heritage style leathers and textured fabrics creating a warm, cosy effect throughout. The bar area has also been upgraded with an illuminated bottle display.
Outside there is a terrace and new festoon lighting has been added as well as touches of colour to the exterior.
James Miller, General Manager of The Avocet, said: “The Cow has always been a popular local pub in Parkstone, and we’re confident that this upgrade to The Avocet will enhance the site while still retaining the pub’s core values.
“We’re so excited to be welcoming guests back into The Avocet’s refreshed new setting. You won’t find a better spot to relax and watch a match, or enjoy a delicious Sunday roast from our new and improved menu.”
The Avocet is located at 58 Station Rd, Parkstone and tables can be booked online.
