POOLE Library will be closed for up to six months for the installation of new services.
The library in the Dolphin Centre will be shut from November 1 to allow for safe building adaptations, fit out, and for major replacement of ventilation, lighting and heating building systems.
A spokesperson from the library said: “We are bringing services together to make them more convenient for residents. BCP Council Customer Services will be accessible in Poole Library from spring 2022 alongside the library service.
“The library plans to reopen as soon as possible; and will keep you informed of progress via emails, the BCP Council website, on BCP Libraries twitter and Facebook, and through posters in the nearby libraries.”
Prior to November 1, extra books can be borrowed from Poole Library and there will be the option to keep them for longer.
During the closure, anyone looking to borrow or return books, study, use public computers & Wi-Fi, and attend events, can do so at other BCP Council libraries: www.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/libraries
The Home Library Service will continue doorstep deliveries to clients. Free online resources and membership are available at any time www.librarieswest.org.uk
