THE Pizza Hut branch in Westover Road is to close its doors at the end of November.
As reported, Pizza Hut was “saddened” to confirm the closure of their restaurant in Westover Road, Bournemouth, and said the decision was made after “disruption” caused by the pandemic.
It has since been confirmed that the restaurant will close on Sunday, November 28.
One Echo reader commented: “When the cinemas were still there, this little place was almost packed to the brim constantly. So sad.”
Another said: “I used to order from Pizza Hut regularly, but just cannot justify the prices now. It’s so much cheaper and nicer to make pizzas from scratch.”
The closure will leave just two eat-in restaurants in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area, with one in Castle Lane, Bournemouth, and the other in Tower Park, Poole.
There are also several delivery-only sites in Winton, Boscombe and Branksome.
The Barrack Retail Park Pizza Hut site in Christchurch has been touted to become a McDonald’s, despite resident objection.
