A WOMAN has been dealt with by the courts for breaking Covid lockdown rules in Bournemouth student halls.
Jessica Mary Ewart, 19 and of St Paul's Place, Bournemouth, was accused of taking part in a gathering of two or more people at a flat in Bailey Point, Oxford Road, on February 14.
The case was proved against her at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, November 16, under the single justice procedure.
Ewart, who did not attend court, was hit with a £1,100 fine and ordered to pay £110 surcharge and £90 costs.
Bailey Point is a Bournemouth University hall of residence, which has 550 bedrooms and a mix of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
