A GATHERING in a Bournemouth flat on New Year's Eve in breach of coronavirus lockdown rules has led to a woman receiving a fine of more than £1,000.
Amelia Groves, aged 22 and of Victoria Place, Bournemouth, was dealt with under the single justice procedure at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, November 16.
Groves was alleged to have taken part in the indoor gathering at a flat in Compass Point, Hinton Road, with two or more people on December 31, 2020.
The case against her was proved and she was handed a £1,100 fine.
The defendant was also given an order to pay a £110 surcharge and £90 costs.
