THE organisers of the Christchurch Food Festival have already announced the dates for next year’s event following a successful return this year.
Thousands of people filled the three-day festival held at The Quomps over the August bank holiday weekend this year after a year’s hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Onyx Events, which runs the festival, has revealed that the festival’s next instalment will be held on the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend from Thursday June 2 to Sunday June 5, with further announcements expected in the new year.
Project coordinator at Onyx Events Alice Shaw said: “After the heartache of having to cancel the 2020 show due to obvious reasons, we were more determined than ever to come back with a bang.
“Hosting the festival entirely on The Quomps created an overwhelming feeling of reunion amongst not only the team running the show, but the traders and visitors alike, not to mention having brilliant weather for the duration of the three-day weekend.
“We are currently in the planning stage for next year's show. Come the new year we will be unveiling our line-up of food traders and well-known chefs taking to the demo stage as well as a host of special attractions in celebration of the Platinum Jubilee weekend.”
