REPORTS of violence and sexual offences was the highest reported crime in November, despite an overall drop in rates.
According to the latest figures from police.uk there were a total of 3,388 crimes reported across the conurbation in November.
November’s crime rate was extremely similar to that of previous months which saw reported crime rates fall month on month.
'Violence and sexual offences most reported crime'
Violence and sexual offences became the most reported crime across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole in November - overtaking the number of reports for anti-social behaviour which fell dramatically.
Reports of anti-social behaviour within the conurbation continued to drop significantly in November to 1,058 - in September there were 1,089 incidents of anti-social behaviour reported to the police.

The most reported crime was violence and sexual offences with 1,070 - down slightly in comparison to previous months.
Chief Superintendent Mark Callaghan, of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole LPA, said: “Serious violence and sexual offences remain a priority for the force and this summer saw a multi-agency approach to seasonal demand, as well as the launch of Operation Vigilant in Bournemouth town centre.
"Operation Vigilant is proactive policing based on the use of both covert plain clothed officers and high-visibility patrols during the night-time economy to identify concerning behaviour by perpetrators or spot someone who may be vulnerable."
Across the conurbation the third highest crime was criminal damage and arson which received 326 reports.
Vehicle crime (228), other theft (210) and burglary (179) offences all received similar rates of reports throughout November in the BCP council area.
The lowest reported crimes were theft from a person (26), possession of weapons (12) and robbery (19).

Bournemouth saw a total of 2,018 reports, Christchurch received 301 and Poole had 1,069 crimes reported in November 2021.
Chief Superintendent Mark Callaghan said: "As we move into the new year, I would like to reassure our communities that our focus on driving down anti-social behaviour and crime continues and our officers will remain out there in our communities to ensure the public are safe and feel safe. We will also see an increase in neighbourhood officers with a clear focus on proactive policing against those who commit crime in our communities.
“The data shows a reduction of crime throughout the year and I am proud of the hard work and professionalism of our officers and staff who have continued to deliver services in a challenging policing environment.”
