Haven't had a chance to get your Covid booster yet?
Here's a few places you can go to before New Year to make sure you're better protected from Covid as the Omicron variant continues to spread.
In the run up to Christmas, tens of thousands of people across Dorset received a Covid-19 booster jab.
The booster vaccine rollout has been scaled up in recent days amid concern over the spread of the Omicron variant in the UK, with daily Covid-19 cases reaching record numbers.
Data from the UK coronavirus dashboard shows 75,825 people across the county received a booster or third vaccine dose in the week ending Monday, December 20.

Where can you walk-in before and after New Year?
- Sentinel House, Nuffield Industrial Estate, Poole: Now until January 4. They are closed on New Years Day. 12-15 year olds can be vaccinated if accompanied by an adult. Centre is open from 9am – 5pm.
- Beaufort Road Surgery, Southbourne: January 2 and January3 from 8am – 5:30pm.
- Whitecliff Surgery, Blandford: 29 December 8:30am – 5:30pm.
- Whitecliff Surgery, Blandford: 30 December 8:30am – 5:30pm.
- Kings Park, Bournemouth: Now until January 4 but closed New Years Day. 12-15 year olds can be vaccinated if accompanied by an adult. Open 8am – 8pm.
How can I book a booster jab?
Those who are eligible can book their COVID-19 booster appointment by visiting the national booking system website (www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination) or calling 119.
Which vaccine will I get?
You will be given a booster dose of either Pfizer or Moderna vaccine (AstraZeneca may be an option if this is the vaccine that you had for the first two doses).
You will be offered the right vaccine for you which may be the same or different from the vaccines that you had before.
