EIGHTY-two per cent of eligible people living in Dorset have had their booster jab, Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group said.
A total of 450,780 booster jabs have been given to eligible people in the county, according to most recent figures
Dr Andy Rutland, local GP and clinical lead for the COVID-19 vaccination programme, said: “Thank you to everyone who has taken up the offer of the vaccine – and to everyone involved in the programme who has worked tirelessly to reach this point. It has been a remarkable and historic effort."
Since the start of the Covid-19 vaccination programme in December 2020, more than 1.5million jabs have been delivered across Dorset.
Now a renewed call is being made to those who have yet to have a first, second, third or booster dose to come forward.
Dr Rutland added: “We’d like to make a renewed appeal to people to come forward to have their first, second, third and booster doses. There’s still time to get your life-saving jab. Please make it your New Year’s Resolution.”
