A CORDON remains in place as detectives continue carrying out a murder investigation.
Officers remain in place at the address in Heath Road, Walkford following an incident on Tuesday evening.
Providing an update, a Dorset Police spokesperson said: "There have been no arrests and our investigation remains ongoing.
"A cordon remains in place at the address. We are unable to say how long it will remain at this stage."
Police yesterday renewed their appeal for information in relation to the incident.
As reported, Dorset Police received a report at 7.53pm on Tuesday, January 4, raising concern for the welfare of the occupant of an address.
Officers attended the address, which the force has now confirmed as 6 Heath Road, and found the body of a man aged in his 30s with serious injuries.
His next of kin has been informed and they are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Detective Inspector Simon Huxter, of the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT), said: “A detailed investigation is being led by detectives from MCIT to establish exactly what happened.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area of Heath Road between Saturday 1 January and Tuesday, January 4, and saw any suspicious activity or anything out of the ordinary to please get in touch.
“I am also appealing for any residents in the vicinity of Heath Road with home CCTV systems or dashcam footage from vehicles that were in the area during the time frame to please check for any relevant footage.
“We are carrying out extensive enquiries into the death and would ask anyone who knows the occupant of 6 Heath Road to please come forward as you may have important information to assist our investigation.
“Our thoughts continue to remain with the family and friends of the man who sadly died and we will provide support to them as our enquiries progress.”
