HOW horrid can you be? The producers of the children's stage play George's Marvellous Medicine are looking for scary schoolgirls to play little witches when the show arrives in Bournemouth for half-term in February.
The production, adapted from the classic Roald Dahl story, tells of a young boy who tries to cure his grumpy granny of her terrible temper.
He gives her a dose of magic medicine but it has a dreadful side-effect and shrinks her to a mini version of her former self.
Which is where the scary schoolgirls come in. Producers the Birmingham Stage Company have asked The Daily Echo to help them find two young girls between 7 and 10 to to play the part of George's shrunken granny.
The girls, who will share eight performances, must be under 4'4" in height and be able to scream very loudly!
The lucky girls will also be able to treat their classes to see the show for free on the opening night.
The show, which is directed by Graeme Messer, stars Matthew Noble as George and Derek Walker as (full-sized) Grandma. It will be playing from February 21 to 24.
If you think you have what it takes please write to Hilary Porter, Entertainment, The Daily Echo, Richmond Hill, Bournemouth, BH2 6HH and tell us why you would make a great shrunken gran.
Working with the theatre we'll choose some likely candidates. Entries must be in by Monday, February 11.
