GOADSBY Town Planning has recently been successful in obtaining planning permission on appeal for an extension to Heathlands Veterinary Hospital at Winfrith, to provide additional veterinary facilities and much needed staff accommodation.
Director of Goadsby town planning Peter Atfield commented: "After a protracted planning process, we are delighted that we have achieved a positive outcome for Heathlands Hospital which will provide an invaluable service in the rural community.
"The layout of the proposal was carefully designed by bespoke architectural design as a low level extension in character with its surroundings, using traditional materials and taking design cues from existing agricultural barns in the area.
"The enhanced hospital facilities will include a canine and equine hydrotherapy unit and physical rehabilitation suite.
"These improvements will help Heathlands extend its specialist care facilities and develop into a veterinary centre of excellence."
