Tesco is set to make a major change to their membership system, Clubcards, that could affect their millions of shoppers.
The supermarket branch will launch Clubcard Pay+, a new debit card that gives shoppers the confidence to start saving.
Grocery Gazette has said that the scheme will be available for all 20 million Clubcard holders.
The card will allow shoppers to save as they shop, according to Tesco's.
Clubcard Pay+ was trialed last year by employees and over 45,000 shoppers.
The new debit card will also be available through Tesco's digital wallet and using Apple Pay.
It will allow shoppers to add their shopping budget into their pay+ account via the free Tesco Bank app.
Gerry Mallon, Tesco Bank chief executive, said: "Tesco Bank has designed a smarter way for Tesco’s 20 million Clubcard members to shop. Tesco Clubcard Pay+ is a clear demonstration of Tesco Bank’s strategy to focus on products which closely align to the needs of Tesco shoppers."
Adding that they are "very encouraged to see Tesco Clubcard Pay+ help give shoppers the confidence to start saving while managing their budget and picking up extra Clubcard Points wherever they shop."
