A MAN was taken to hospital following an incident outside the Bournemouth International Centre that saw a major emergency service response.
Police received a report that a man had been found with injuries outside the venue in Exeter Road at around 2.40pm on Sunday, January 16.
The BIC car park was cordoned off by police with members of the public unable to enter the vicinity as emergency services dealt with the incident.
The air ambulance landed on the beach near Bournemouth Pier shortly after 3pm and police vehicles were also located along the promenade.
BCP Council wardens and the Coastguard cleared the beach between the Oceanarium and the arcade as the helicopter took off at around 3.45pm.
Officers from the South West Police Forensics team were seen in the road outside the BIC car park.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Officers were in attendance with the ambulance service. The man has been taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.
“At this time, there is nothing to indicate any suspicious circumstances.”
