TECHNICAL staff at Dorset County Council are fighting to get computer systems up and running after a power failure at County Hall.
Council communications chiefs have warned that people calling the council may experience difficulties while its computer experts battle to restore a full service.
A special number has set up for callers with urgent problems who are experiencing difficulties contacting the council on their usual contact number.
Callers with urgent problems should ring 01305 221000.
"We apologise for any inconvenience," a spokesman said.
Staff are being told to report to work as technicians seek an early resolution.
