A 150-YEAR-OLD hotel is on the market for the first time in 40 years nearly a whopping £3million.
Moorhill House Hotel, in Burley, is up for sale and could be yours for £2,975,000.
Christie & Co are managing the sale of the detached country house hotel which is set in grounds spanning 1.4 acres.
The hotel comprises of 31 rooms and was originally built in 1861 as a private residence.
Guests also have access to a heated swimming pool and sauna and there are three staff rooms.
New Forest Hotels acquired the hotel in the early 1980s. The owners also undertook a £140k refurbishment in 2018.
It has since become an established wedding venue, hosting 33 in 2018 and 46 in 2019.
Christie & Co said there is “significant scope” to develop the wedding business, on either an exclusive letting basis or for smaller weddings in the two function rooms.
Guest rooms are arranged over the first floor where there are 23 rooms, and the second floor where eight rooms are situated.
Each guest room has an en suite bathroom and a double bed, writing desk and chair, bedside tables, wardrobe, chest of drawers, hospitality tray, telephone and small wall-mounted television.
