‘I RECENTLY went to Germany to a town similarly sized to Bournemouth. All the shops and banks were open and thriving, the streets were spotlessly clean and I did not see a single piece of litter, the people were smart and it felt nice spending time there.
There was a feeling of ‘quality’ and everything was well painted and the window fronts sparkling.
Fast forward a week I went into Bournemouth and quite frankly was shocked and saddened by the whole experience.
The streets are grimy and covered in chewing gum, there were empty beer cans strewn around, half the shop were gone and it felt very depressing.
There are bins everywhere but people seem to lazy to use them.
I am not sure what has happened to Bournemouth but with Dingles soon to go there has to be a huge change as the town is becoming a rubbish strewn ghost town.
There need to be a resurgence of pride and quickly before its to late.
People not throwing rubbish out of cars would be a start.
