THE driver of a red Suzuki refused to hand over her keys to police after being found to have been driving with invalid tax and insurance.
Officers from Dorset Police No Excuse team pulled over the vehicle earlier this week.
The driver, whose licence had also expired, claimed to have a section 88 exemption, which allows a motorist to continue driving whilst their application for a new licence is being processed.
However, the driver did not have the necessary documents with her.
The driver was removed from the car after refusing to exit the car and declining the chance to pass over her keys and was later reported to court for obstructing a police officer, and driving without insurance and a valid driving licence.
The car was seized and the driver was also reported to the DVLA.
