THE BANFF Mountain Film Festival World Tour is bringing brand-new high-adrenaline films to venues around Dorset this year.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival features the world’s best adventure films, telling stories of extreme journeys into the wildest corners of the planet. Audiences can expect inspirational characters, remote scenery and spectacular cinematography, on the big screen.
Tour director Nell Teasdale, said: "As well as adrenaline-packed stories from the world’s best adventure filmmakers, Banff events are a celebration of the great outdoors with a vibrant atmosphere – and we guarantee audiences will leave inspired to have an adventure of their own too.”
Starring intrepid characters, extreme expeditions and stunning cinematography, the tour features two new collections of inspirational films from the wildest corners of the planet.
There are two different film programmes to choose from, or audiences can double the action and go to both.
Dates and venues are:
- Wimborne Minster, Tivoli Theatre, February 23
- Poole, Lighthouse Theatre, February 26 & May 6
- Christchurch, Regent Centre, May 12
Banff tour films are chosen from hundreds of entries into the Banff Mountain Film Festival, which is held every November in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The UK and Ireland tour will visit over 50 locations in spring and autumn 2022.
As well as thrilling films, each event features a free prize draw for outdoorsy goodies from the tour’s partners.
