A PEDESTRIAN is in a critical condition following a collision in Poole.
Police received a report of the incident near to the junction of Station Road and Church Road in Ashley Cross at 5.35pm on Sunday, February 13.
As a result of that collision, a 32-year-old male pedestrian suffered serious injuries and is in a critical condition at Southampton General Hospital.
His family is aware and is being supported by specialist officers.
Dorset Police has not given details on any vehicles involved in the incident but officers are keen to speak to a potential witness, who was driving a white hatchback car and stopped at the scene.
The road remains closed on Sunday night while police conduct detailed investigations into the circumstances of the collision.
Inspector Craig Tatton, of the traffic unit, said: “At this time it is not exactly clear what happened during the incident.
“I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or was in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage.
“I am particularly keen to speak to a potential witness who was driving a white hatchback car and stopped to speak to another motorist at the scene.”
