A MAN in his 80s sustained serious injuries following a road traffic collision outside a petrol station in Gillingham.
Dorset Police received a report at 10.43am on Sunday, February 13, of a collision involving a black Mercedes Benz and a pedestrian at the Esso petrol station forecourt in Chantry Fields.
The pedestrian – a local man aged in his 80s – sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
Officers investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
Police Constable Kier Dagnall, of North Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the petrol station at the time and may have witnessed what happened to please come forward.
“I would also like to hear from any motorists in the vicinity who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam to help my investigation.”
