A MAN pulled from the sea near Boscombe Pier on Tuesday morning has died.
Police received a report raising concern for the welfare of a person in the water at 6.56am.
Officers attended along with the coastguard, ambulance service and the fire service.
The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead at around 11am.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Whilst no formal identification has taken place as yet, officers are in contact with a local family and have informed them that a body has been located.
"The coroner has also been notified.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
