AN AGA cooker shop has closed for good, with would-be customers referred to other stores more than 50 miles away or offered Zoom appointments.
The Aga Rangemaster at the Furlong Shopping Centre, Ringwood, closed after its lease came to an end.
A sign on the door says: “We regret to announce that the AGA shop Ringwood is now permanently closed.
“Your nearest Aga stores can be found in Bath … and Haslemere.”

Bath is 56 miles from Ringwood and Haslemere is 68 miles away.
Customers with an order in progress were told to contact Aga in Cirencester, 98 miles away.
The Aga showroom occupied a prime site next to Waitrose in the shopping centre and hosted demonstrations as well as selling the famous cast iron cookers.
Aga told the Daily Echo in a statement: “The Aga store in Ringwood has now closed and customers with outstanding orders have been contacted by other Aga retail stores who will now be their point of contact for all enquiries and queries.
“The phone number for any Aga enquiries is 0800 111 6477 and our retail staff will be able to discuss customer requirements by phone or email and can arrange one-to-one appointments, Zoom consultation or Zoom demonstrations.
"Further details are available on agaliving.com.”
Charlie Reed, marketing manager for the Furlong Shopping Centre, said: “Aga came to the end of their lease so decided to close the store.
“We have a very exciting new retailer hopefully opening in the next couple of months but unfortunately until the legals are signed we cannot make any announcements.”
Aga Rangemaster makes the Aga cookers and ovens which became a sought-after addition to many homes.
Many cookers are still operating after more than 50 years and a competition in 2009 uncovered one that had been running since 1932.
