TOILET facilities at a Poole beauty spot have been upgraded.
Visitors to Lake Pier in Poole will benefit from BCP Council's 'extensive refurbishment' of the facilities, which includes a disabled toilet and a separate baby changing room.
These toilets are part of BCP Council’s capital investment programme to refurbish and reopen a number of toilet blocks in Poole.
Other toilets already reopened or refurbished as part of this programme include the ones at Poole Quay, Ashley Cross Green and Poole Park West Gate.
Leader of BCP Council, Drew Mellor, said: "We are committed to investing in and reopening a number of these facilities to maximise people’s experience when going out and about in our area.
"This programme to refurbish and reopen these facilities highlights that we’re passionate about delivering on our commitment to residents and creating a comparable experience across all three towns.
"We're hugely ambitious about delivering a world class BCP city region, and investments such as these, go a long way into realising these ambitions."
As part of the full refurbishment at Lake Pier, which was needed due to major infrastructure damage caused by weather, the flat roof has been replaced with a pitched roof and all the toilets and utilities have been completely refitted.
The Lake Pier facilities are open from 8am-6pm in the winter until the Easter school holidays on 8 April and 8am-8pm in the summer from 9 April – 30 September.
