MUDEFORD Quay has been closed by Police due to the storm.
Residents at the quay were asked by Police to leave the area this morning, as Storm Eunice picked up.
Resident Nicole Pace said when they arrived to take some pictures the water was just low enough to drive through but it rose quickly.
She said: “There were older people sitting in their cars having a cup of tea watching it and then all of a sudden the police came up and started trying to get everybody off of there.
“When we got there it was okay to drive through but it was high because we thought we've probably only got 10 minutes and we should definitely get out of there or we might get stuck.
“As we pulled up everybody was taking photos and videos and then quickly jumping back in their cars to exit.
“Quite a few police cars turned up and they were just making sure everybody got off okay and they're shutting it now.
“A van was waiting at the entrance as we left.
“There were a lot of branches and bits from boats flying about everywhere, I saw a branch hit another car, it all seemed like it was a good time to leave, the whole green was completely covered.”
Shore Road in Sandbanks is also shut at the bottom of Evening Hill due to flooding.
Five flood warnings and four flood alerts were issued by the Environment Agency in Dorset, as Storm Eunice blew in.
