A DORSET man is taking on 15 gruesome trials to raise money for The Dorset Children’s Foundation.
Anders Naylor, 27 from Portland, is battling through a series of viral challenges, made popular by social media, to help raise awareness of the charity, which has struggled for funding during the pandemic.
As a father of two disabled children, Anders knows of the vital care that the charity provides to young children and their families.

Close friend William, who set up Anders’ fundraising page, said: “At the end of the day, it is a bit of entertainment, but we also want to raise awareness for such a great charity and help raise some money for them.
“We are raising money for The Dorset Children’s Foundation, but we are actually based in Portland. There aren’t many services in Portland, so we are campaigning for something to be set up here.
“It’s raising money so that children can hopefully be involved in things and get out and engage with the community and just do things that children want to.”
In order to complete the 15 challenges, Anders will have to survive having 100 eggs thrown at him, endure a five-minute ice bath and be strapped to a lamppost for two hours with a sign saying, ‘I miss you Jasmine, please take me back’.
Having started his challenges on Monday February 7 with an armpit and leg waxing at Hair & Beauty Studio in Portland, Anders is looking to complete all 15 challenges by the end of the month.
Speaking after Anders’ first challenge, William said: “He found it alright. He said that the leg wax was fine, but the armpit wax was quite painful.
“People were able to put their ideas forward and vote online and on social media for the challenges they would like to see, and we selected to the best ones.
“Anders isn’t keen on the belly button piercing and the surströmming challenge. That is the smelly Swedish fish meal that he has to eat.
“It is the last challenge he has to do, and I’d say it is the one he is dreading the most.”
He has set himself the target of raising £1,500 for the children’s challenge, and has agreed that if his target is met, then he will complete another three challenges, which will be chosen by and voted for by the public.
“I always enjoy watching the extreme challenges, but it is so much better when it is for a good cause,” William added.
“They are all pretty nasty challenges, but Anders is also raising money for children who normally feely excluded.
“He is doing this to help make these children feel more included and part of something.”
