POLICE investigating a report of animal cruelty have released images of a man they would like to identify.
Officers received a report that a man was seen shouting at a black and white Staffy-type dog in Wimborne Road in Kinson at 9.55am on Friday, February 18.
He was reportedly then seen to strike the dog twice to the head with a closed fist.
The man walked off in the direction of the Northbourne Roundabout.
Police Constable Elliot Penn, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and have obtained images of a man and his dog we would like to identify.

“I appreciate they are not the best quality, but I am appealing to anyone who recognises the man, or who has any information that might assist our investigation to please come forward.”
