EIGHT Poole neighbours celebrating after landing £330,000 with the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The cash windfall comes after the Dorset postcode, BH14 0DP, was announced as a winner with the lottery on Saturday, February 26.
Six neighbours living in Salisbury Road won £30,000 each, another two neighbours scooped £60,000 and £90,000, thanks to playing with more than one ticket.
Among the winners was speech and language therapist, Sonya Lidiard, who scooped £30,000.
She said: “We might start looking at campervans. It’s something we thought about buying when we get a bit older, and the kids grow up but we’ve often that it’s a bit out of reach. We could now go out and buy one.”
Veronica Draycott won the largest prize among the winners, she picked up a cheque for £90,000, thanks to playing with three tickets. Moments after winning Veronica said: “I’m shellshocked, it’s all a bit numb at the moment.
“That’s such a large amount but you don’t realise that until you stop and think about it.”
The 66-year-old said the win had come at just the right time as she is soon moving house: “I’ve just bought a new flat, so this win will give me all the money I need to buy the furniture.”
Ian Futcher, 38, was another lottery player to win £30k, as was Carla Baker, 32, and Sharon Swan, 54.
The other winners chose to remain anonymous.
