A DRIVER performed a “number of dangerous manoeuvres” after failing to stop for police in Poole.
The white Renault Megane was followed for seven minutes along the Dorset Way, Yarrow Road, Old Wareham Road and Ringwood Road on the evening of Wednesday, February 23.
The pursuit occurred after an officer travelling in an unmarked police vehicle requested the driver of the vehicle to stop at around 7.20pm as it travelled along Ringwood Road from the Mountbatten Arms roundabout toward the Alderney roundabout.
It was aborted after the driver carried out the "dangerous" manoeuvres with a number of motorists having to avoid the vehicle.
Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
Sergeant Chris Brolan, of the traffic unit, said: “During this incident a number of motorists had to take evasive action to avoid this vehicle and I would ask them to please make contact with Dorset Police.
“I would also ask anyone who may have captured all or part of this incident on dashcam to please get in touch.”
